HALF OF LOW-INCOME PEOPLE NOT RECEIVING FOOD STAMPS
NPP's new analysis of 2004 county-level data and statistics focuses on the distribution of Food Stamp Program benefits. The study found that half of all low-income people did not receive benefits.

Find out how the federal government spent the median family's income tax dollars in each state and selected cities and counties. The breakdown includes categories such as education, the environment, health, job training and others and a comparison with five years ago is made.

The President's Budget: Impact on the States provides a state-by-state breakdown of the administration's budget request for fiscal year 2008. For the coming fiscal year, the administration has proposed deep cuts to domestic spending.
